Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the SÉLUNE website and your purchase of products from us.

Throughout these terms, “SÉLUNE”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the SÉLUNE online store. “You” and “your” refer to any visitor, customer or person using our website.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the website.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

1. About Our Store

SÉLUNE is a beauty and personal-care store based in the United Kingdom and serving customers worldwide.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform used to display products, process orders and operate checkout.

Questions about these terms or an order can be submitted through the Contact page on our website.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.

Our products are intended for purchase and use by adults. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may only use the website with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

You must provide accurate, current and complete information when placing an order.

3. Products and Information

We make reasonable efforts to describe and display products accurately.

Colours and appearance may vary slightly because of lighting, photography, production variations and device-screen settings. Packaging may also change without materially affecting the product.

Product images are provided for illustration. The product description, selected variant and order confirmation determine what is included with your purchase.

We may update product information when reasonably necessary. Changes will not affect an order already accepted unless required by law or agreed with you.

4. Cosmetic and Personal-Care Products

SÉLUNE beauty tools are intended for cosmetic and personal-care use. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

Read and follow all instructions, warnings and care guidance supplied with a product.

Stop using a product if you experience pain, persistent irritation or another unexpected reaction. If you have a medical condition, use photosensitising medication or are uncertain whether a product is suitable for you, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before use.

These safety statements do not exclude or restrict any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

5. Orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase the selected products.

After you place an order, we will send an acknowledgement to the contact details provided. This acknowledgement confirms that we received the order; it does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

A contract is formed when we accept your order and confirm that it is being fulfilled or dispatched.

We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance where reasonably necessary, including when:

  • A product is unavailable

  • Pricing or product information contains an obvious error

  • Payment cannot be authorised

  • We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse

  • Delivery is not available to the supplied address

  • The order breaches an applicable law or these terms

If payment has already been taken for an order we cannot fulfil, we will issue an appropriate refund.

6. Order Limits and Resale

Products are sold for personal use unless we agree otherwise.

We may apply reasonable quantity limits or refuse orders that appear to be intended for unauthorised resale, fraudulent activity or misuse. We will not exercise this right arbitrarily or in a way that removes statutory rights from an accepted consumer order.

7. Prices

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling unless another currency is shown.

The total amount payable, including applicable taxes and delivery charges collected by us, will be displayed before you submit the order.

For international orders, your bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or transaction fee.

We may change prices at any time before an order is accepted. A later price change will not affect an order already accepted.

If a displayed price contains an obvious error, we may contact you before acceptance and offer the choice of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling the order.

8. Payments

Available payment methods are shown at checkout.

Payments are processed through Shopify and authorised payment providers. Payment may be subject to additional verification or security checks.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method supplied and that the payment information is accurate.

We do not normally receive or store your complete payment-card details.

9. International Delivery

We deliver from the United Kingdom to supported destinations worldwide.

Available delivery services, estimated times and charges are shown at checkout after you enter your delivery address.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly stated otherwise. Customs processing, local carriers, weather, public holidays and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery.

Under UK law, goods should ordinarily be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days unless a different delivery period has been agreed with you.

10. Delivery Address

You are responsible for checking that the delivery name, address and contact information are complete and accurate before submitting an order.

Contact us promptly if you notice an error. We will try to help before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee that information can be changed after fulfilment has begun.

Additional delivery or return charges resulting from an incorrect address, refusal or failure to collect may be deducted from a refund where permitted by law and where the charge was properly disclosed.

11. Risk and Ownership

Responsibility for the product passes to you when it is delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive it.

If you independently arrange a carrier that we did not offer, responsibility may pass when the product is handed to that carrier, as permitted by applicable law.

Ownership passes after we have received payment in full and the product has been delivered.

12. Customs Duties and Import Taxes

Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or handling charges imposed by the destination country.

Unless checkout states that these charges are included, they are the recipient’s responsibility.

SÉLUNE does not control charges imposed by customs or local authorities. Check the applicable rules before ordering.

13. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Cancellations, returns and refunds are handled under our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Eligible UK customers generally have the right to notify us of cancellation within 14 days after receiving an online order and then return it within a further 14 days.

Exceptions may apply, including to sealed products that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons after the seal has been broken.

These provisions do not affect your rights when a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

14. Faulty Products

Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose and match their description.

If a product is faulty or does not conform to the contract, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or another remedy under applicable consumer law.

Contact us through the Contact page and include your order number, a description of the problem and relevant photographs or video.

Any voluntary warranty is additional to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.

15. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotions and discount codes may be subject to additional terms displayed with the offer.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Offers cannot be exchanged for cash

  • Only one code may be used per order

  • Codes cannot be applied after an order has been completed

  • Offers may exclude certain products or delivery charges

  • Codes must be used before their stated expiry date

We may withdraw or correct a promotion before an order is accepted if it contains an obvious error or is being misused. This will not affect an order already validly accepted.

16. Website Availability

We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems, security incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may update, suspend or change parts of the website where reasonably necessary. This does not remove obligations relating to orders already accepted.

17. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent activity

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another account

  • Introduce malware or harmful code

  • Interfere with the website’s security or operation

  • Scrape, copy or extract substantial website content without permission

  • Use false information or another person’s identity

  • Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights

  • Use the website to harass, threaten or harm another person

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the store or our legal rights.

18. Intellectual Property

Website content—including branding, text, graphics, photographs, videos, product names, layout and design—is owned by or licensed to SÉLUNE and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may access the website and download or print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission, except where the law expressly permits it.

19. Reviews and Submitted Content

If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content, you confirm that:

  • You created it or have permission to submit it

  • It is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • It does not infringe another person’s rights

  • It is not unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory or misleading

  • It does not contain malware, confidential information or undisclosed advertising

You allow us to display and use submitted content in connection with operating and promoting SÉLUNE. You retain ownership of your original content.

We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary, but we will not manipulate reviews to create a misleading impression of customer feedback.

20. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may include services, content or links provided by third parties, including payment providers, delivery companies and social platforms.

Those services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for an independent third party’s website or conduct where the issue was not caused by our failure to meet an obligation.

21. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information.

Our Cookie settings explain how strictly necessary, analytics and advertising technologies are managed.

By using the website, you acknowledge that personal information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

22. Our Responsibility

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for a loss caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control where we were not at fault, subject to any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

We do not exclude or restrict responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including responsibility for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Faulty or misdescribed products

  • Breach of mandatory consumer rights

  • Any other responsibility that cannot legally be excluded

If you purchase as a consumer, we are not responsible for business losses arising from use of a product for commercial purposes.

23. Your Statutory Rights

These terms do not exclude, restrict or replace rights and remedies granted to you by applicable consumer law.

If there is a conflict between these terms and a mandatory legal right, the mandatory legal right will apply.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal obligations.

The version applying to an order is normally the version available when that order is placed. We will not retroactively change an accepted order unless required by law or agreed with you.

The current version and revision date will be published on this page.

25. Severability

If a court or competent authority decides that a provision of these terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

The affected provision will apply only to the extent that it is lawful and enforceable.

26. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision, this does not mean that we have waived the right to enforce it later.

27. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the part of the United Kingdom where the SÉLUNE business is established.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory protections provided by the law of your country.

Nothing in these terms requires a consumer to bring a claim in a court other than one available to them under applicable law.

28. Contact

For questions, complaints or notices relating to these terms, contact SÉLUNE through the Contact page on our website.

Include your name, order number where applicable and enough information for us to understand and respond to your request.
